Reverse Proxy Logging Policy Configuration
3/31/2022 - Cloudmersive Support

You can configure a range of Logging policies to capture and log data from the request or response:

  • AWS CloudWatch Logging
  • Azure Log Analytics
  • Splunk
  • Webhook (JSON)
  • LogRhythm

To configure a Logging policy, navigate to the Reverse Proxy server in the management portal by clicking on Private Cloud, and then the relevant private cloud instance and then Configure Node. In a Managed Instance deployment you can click on Managed Instances and then Configure.

You can then add policies by clicking on Add Logging Policy. When adding the logging policy, select the relevant type of policy to add from the above list. Once the logging policy has been added, you can then configure the access credentials by clicking on Edit.

You can further configure when should the policy trigger - on All Traffic, or only when the security policies configured blocks traffic or allows traffic.

You can then specify which of the following log data points you wish to log:

  • Log request URL
  • Log client IP address
  • Log request header
  • Log policy result details
