With Kubernetes support, deploying and scaling Cloudmersive ICAP Server inside modern containerized environments is now easier than ever. Cloudmersive customers can now integrate powerful file security directly into their container orchestration environments while maintaining the flexibility Kubernetes is known for.

Why Deploy Cloudmersive ICAP on Kubernetes?

Kubernetes deployments offer a variety of advantages, particularly for teams operating large-scale and/or highly dynamic environments.

First and foremost, Kubernetes makes scalability significantly easier to achieve. ICAP scanning workflows tend to grow quickly (depending on traffic levels, file sizes, etc.), and Kubernetes allows you to scale ICAP scanning nodes horizontally with increases in demand to ensure consistent performance.

Additionally, Kubernetes improves resilience and uptime dramatically. It automatically manages container health and restarts failed instances, and it intelligently distributes workloads across nodes. This means file scanning infrastructure remains highly available even when nodes fail or require maintenance.

Finding the Kubernetes Deployment Option in the Cloudmersive Management Portal (CMP)

To get started with a Kubernetes deployment, first navigate to the ICAP Server deployment in your CMP.

In addition to the existing deployment options (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022), a Kubernetes option can now be found.

Selecting this option brings up a list of Kubernetes prerequisites and detailed deployment instructions.
