Cloudmersive Reverse Proxy Active Healthcheck Configuration
8/1/2024 - Cloudmersive Support

Cloudmersive Reverse Proxy Server can be used with Active Healthchecks which will continuously send a test request to each target server to ensure it is healthy. If it is healthy, this target server will continue to receive traffic. If it becomes unhealthy, this target server will be removed from rotation and will stop receiving traffic.

Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Cloudmersive Management Portal and click on Private Cloud, and then the relevant Private Cloud node. Then click on Configure Node and then Manage... next to the existing site that has at least two target servers.

  2. Click on Configure Site Level Settings. Click on Enable Active Healthcheck. Under Health Check Path, enter the relative path to the endpoint to hit such as /index. Set the health check interval, e.g. to 5 seconds. This means that the health check will be performed every 5 seconds. Set your health check timeout or maintain default (requests that take longer than this threshold are considered to have failed). Set your failure threshold to 3, this means that 3 failures in a row will remove this endpoint from active rotation. Click on Save Settings.
