Cloudmersive API Analytics and Support for the Open Telemetry Transaction ID
1/12/2026 - Cloudmersive Support

Cloudmersive API Analytics supports the Open Telemetry standard (and the W3C Trace Context standard) for passing in Transaction IDs to the platform. Note that customers must be using a Cloudmersive Managed Instance or Private Cloud endpoint.

Customers can pass in Transaction ID data via a header and see this data in the Cloudmersive API Analytics Console in Cloudmersive Management Center.

To pass in a transaction ID, including the following traceparent header in your Cloudmersive API Request:

traceparent: 00-{trace-id}-{parent-id}-{trace-flags}

An example of this would look like this:

traceparent: 00-0af7651916cd43dd8448eb211c80319c-b7ad6b7169203331-01

The Transaction ID is the {trace-id} portion of the value. Note that many popular telemetry platforms that support the Open Telemetry standard already automatically populate this field. If this is the case you can then correlate the Transaction IDs in the Cloudmersive Management Portal with this value.

To see these values, simply navigate to Cloudmersive Management Portal, click on Analytics and then API Analytics. Click on View Logs and you will see this value populate as a column in the results.
